May 15, 2013 Meeting at Townshend Tea on Alberta

We have found a new place to meet as the much appreciated space at Kailash is not available for several months.

So join us on May 15 at 7pm at Townshend Tea, 2223 Northeast Alberta Street, Portland, OR.

Order some of their specialty teas and any other treats at the counter on the way in and head on down to the lower level meeting space…  they will bring us our tea when it’s ready.

Let’s explore new spaces of Intentional Community together!

Highlights of September 2012 Meeting

It was a pretty chaotic time, but it was our first meeting. The best thing about getting the 14 of us together was finding out what people want to give, and what they want to get from the group. There was a wonderful range of experiences represented, from intentional community members, founders, and former members to members of a neighborhood project cooperative.

The goals set out by attendees of the first meeting included wanting to share knowledge and experience, a desire to form a lasting network between communities, wanting a forum for sharing and exploring new ideas, and needing a place to learn together.

For now, the group will meet once per month. Kailish Ecovillage has generously offered meeting space and we’re currently working with them on scheduling. Check back for updates as we’ll post an announcement for the next meeting as soon as we have details.

We will not focus on any one project, but share information, resources, and provide a space for people with similar vision to meet and talk. You’re invited to bring finger food to share, or if you must eat a meal because it’s the dinner hour, bring a sack dinner. We plan to meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month, space permitting. Any project groups that form may end up meeting more or less frequently at their own discretion.

Library policy may require this meeting to reschedule on short notice (unlikely but possible), so please check this listing the day of the meeting as any changes will be posted here!
